Relatively hot weather for March has overtaken California's weather causing records to fall in some places while others enjoy the beach weather. We have seen this before, March warm-ups turn out to be a taste of Summer for some when the calender says it should still be winter. This warm weather though has taken a little reprieve in SoCal with the intrusion of the marine layer into coastal areas and a shift in wind direction from the west instead of the east. In NorCal though the temps have warmed up nicely to the low 80's in many spots today with more expected tomorrow. The warm weather is expected to make its return for SoCal with temps once again in the mid to upper 80's over the weekend for inland areas with desert locations baking in the 90's. Beyond this weekend look for temps to moderate to more tolerable levels with 70's more common. Expecting highs to be in the mid to upper 70's for SoCal in the early part of next week and in the low and mid 70's for NorCal. Pleasant weather which is about 5F above normal for both areas. A great way to begin Spring. I'll have the Summer forecast out by the middle of next week, for now enjoy the taste of sizzling weather in March.
