The End is Near

Only 28 days left officially of this years rainy season and the weather is looking more typical of mid to late April as in the next 10 days only 1 day of rain is forecasted. On Tuesday it looks like there will be a light storm moving through with up to 1/2 inch in the wettest higher elevation locations in NorCal with little or no rain in SoCal urban areas. Looking like the big story with this storm would be the chances for t-storms which could contain hail and gusty winds. After that storm passes it will be much drier and warmer with temps the warmest we have seen this year as a ridge establishes itself over California. Temps in that time period starting from the 22nd could be in the 90's here in NorCal inland areas and in SoCal temps could be very close to 100F in far inland areas with deserts well into the 100's. Toasty weather for sure as we transition into the dry season. On May 15th I'll have a post recapping seasonal totals as well as how we did this year in terms of averages in all of California and what this means for the drought that we've had. So again, the end to the rainy season is near. Time to enjoy the outdoors with great weather conditions to come.
