Hot, Hot, HOT is the story for California the next couple of days as temps in the Central Valley cities of Sacramento and Redding near 110F which would bring records. Even in normally cool areas like San Francisco temps will be in the 90's. Of course for those from back East unfamiliar with our wx patterns, this heat is a very dry heat. In fact the humidity the next couple of days will probably be under 20% for most if not the entire 48 hour period. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for those that don't like the heat, and no this is no mirage, a cooling trend will ensue starting on Thursday and lasting thru Sunday. Temps will be about 30-40F cooler then what they are going to be the next couple of days. Places like Sac which will be near 110F tomorrow will dip back down to near 80F by Sunday. Temps will gradually warm again next week back to seasonal norms which are in the low 90's. In the meantime, stay cool.
